In uncertain times, wearing a saree never fails to lift my spirits, and the 6 inch heels always help too. This gorgeous navy blue silk blend saree with peacocks paired beautifully with a magenta silk blouse, minimalistic earrings and a bindi, of course, is one of my favorite sarees.

I am not a fan of buying clothes online but when I received this saree as a gift, I was pleasantly surprised. This saree is great for any occasion, from a traditional pooja to a wedding ceremony. I decided to keep the accessories to a minimum but you can jazz up tour look with a silver neckpiece and a pair of earrings.

I wore this to a Ganesh Chaturthi event last year and it reminded me of dressing up every evening for the Ganpati aarti. Wearing a saree and being able to flaunt it gracefully is an art and I wish I inherited a bit of that art from my mother and grandmother who have always been the epitome of grace for me.
